John Boyega recently answered some of the critics, and haters, who were whipped up into a frenzy when he appeared as a black stormtrooper in the new Star Wars trailer.
When the news hit that the new trailer was out for The Force Awakens, you can bet the fans were on it. What else could be more exciting?
However it seems that not everyone was as happy as you would think they would be. There were some people who took offense, or simply commented, about the fact that the stormtrooper in the opening scene was black.
Once that started happening…the racist jokes, comments, and even attacks began to circle around the web. Some joked about it while others were really serious about the fact he was a black stormtrooper.
John recently posted on his Instagram to tell his fans how happy and excited he is to be part of this new movie. He also took a moment to let the people know that disagreed, to simply get used to it.
