Yesterday while I watched the new trailer for episode 7 over and over again, probably like most fans, there were a few emotions I felt they were trying to convey in the teaser trailer. Right off the bat, you could feel the change this new movie was going to have, or at least a change from the prequels.
The only words that were spoken were that of a narrator, and the voice really didn’t say much at all. In fact, there were only 15 words spoken in the entire trailer.
There has been an awakening. Have you felt it? The dark side … and the light.
While the words spoken were very few, there certainly was some emotion that was translated in the trailer. You got a pretty good feeling of how certain scenes felt, or at least the emotion of that scene.
When the trailer first starts you instantly get the feeling of the stormtrooper being scared, or simply frightened. Then we see the little nervous robot rolling across the screen, at least that is how it felt to me.
As we move on, we have rebel girl who has a very concerning look on her face, some X-wing pilots that seem a little angry, and some stormtroopers that reek of vengeance.
I really like the new look of this movie so far as it appears to have more of an adult feel, and slightly more dark in nature. As we all know, the prequels were a disaster for the most part, and this new 90 second teaser trailer really shows how this will be different.
