Darth Vader was first released during the reveal trailer in a cinematic scene where he was found approaching some rebels that were recently injured from an AT-AT attack. As a rebel stood by to help an injured soldier, Vader appeared and it was intense.
We later got a glimpse of Vader when he showed up in actual gameplay during the “Assault On Hoth” video using his choking ability on some rebel enemy. Vader will be a favorite as he is the ultimate face of the dark side.
Lord Vader is a very powerful hero, especially in close quarter combat. If you find yourself in a hallway with him, you better run. However, if you see him in a very open part of the map then you might be ok. While being very powerful, he is slow to close distances.
Special Abilities
His special abilities are Force Choke, Heavy Attack, Saber Throw, Deflected Shot, and Flight.
Force Choke
This ability will allow you to lift your enemies off the ground and choke them like Darth Vader can only do.
Heavy Attack
This ability will allow you to crush many enemies as once as you brutally swing your lightsaber.
Saber Throw
This ability will allow you to throw your lightsaber at enemies and take them out from a distance.
Deflected Shot
Similar to Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader can deflect enemy blaster fire that might come back to haunt you.
Flight
Unlike most heroes and characters who can jump, Darth Vader has the ability to float.
Trait
Unlike some other heroes where their trait depends on kills, Darth Vaders trait is about surrounding enemies. The more enemies that surround him, the stronger his armor will get.
- 20% when 1-2 enemies are near for level 1
- 50% when 3-4 enemies are near for level 2
- 80% when 5 or more enemies are near for level 3
