Hi everyone, I usually don't play FPS but I have been playing Battlefront a lot since it's release. I am having so much trouble aiming...even when someone is right in front of me, I shoot them and it hits them but they don't die. They just simply 1 shot me. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, but how do people aim so quickly and accurately at me? Hell, I can't even hit a guy who turns a corner in front of me and he has his back to me. Thanks
Hi Noxious, thanks for stopping by. How is your connection? Are you running on WiFi? It almost sounds like you are lagging or have a slight slower connection. What happens is by the time you see him, he actually has already shot at you which makes it seem like he is killing you super quick and you don't have a chance to even fire a blaster.
Its the game not you. The way the game puts on a server is actually horrible. Hince the reason there is no ping meter in game. Its not you, its the way the game sees players in game and places them. They need to fix it, or lose players....
AAhhhhh answer my same questions guys thanks! SOme nights I am playing really well the next I couldn't hit an AT AT with a stone if I was stood next to it never mind players...........
Thanks for stopping by man. The first thing I always look at is the connection. Are you playing on Wi-FI or a hard wired connection?
I had similar issues for a bit. I would shoot a guy like 10 times, he wouldn't die but he would shoot me and in one shot, I was dead. Some of this may be the game which i'm sure they will fix but I also noticed I was having connection issues. Everything seemed fine but I noticed that when I picked up a token, the pick up sound was delayed by a second. I replaced my router and I was good. Could that have been my problem? Not sure but it hasn't happened since.
Do you have other people in your place that use the Wi-Fi off your router? My brother had an issue like that and there was a setting that you can change that allows you limit the Wi-Fi part of the router. Which router do you have? Check this out for example: If you have lots of people using the Wi-Fi when you're playing then you might be getting shafted.
Not sure what kind of router you have but mine is a Linksys. If you go into your router settings, you should have an area for application and gaming. Try and find Qos (Quality of service). This will allow you to enter the MAC address of your PC to prioritize your PC on the network. If you don't know your MAC address, open a command prompt, and Type ipconfig /all and it will be listed as "physical address". Her Netflix may be slower but you should see an improvement in gaming Hopefully this helps
