The Force Awakens IMAX Update

We finally have more information on The Force Awakens IMAX scene that many of us already knew was coming. J.J. Abrams shot a sequence that we know of using the 70mm cameras, and that scene has to do with the escape from Jakku.

According to Making Star Wars, the scene has to do with the Millennium Falcon fleeing TIE Fighters on the planet of Jukku.

“the scene is most likely the escape from Jakku.”

I guess this IMAX shot scene using 70mm cameras will only play at the true IMAX theaters, so if you want to see it, make sure you watch it at the correct IMAX and not a scaled down version one.

“the 70mm IMAX presentation will not play at the ‘gimmick’ shrunk IMAX theaters. Those will showcase the standard Digital IMAX converted format.”
