Nien Nunb grew up on Sullust and is a well-known smuggler in the Star Wars franchise. While he is known by fans for his unique look and Sullustan voice, he actually was a great servant to the Republic. He would assist Princess Leia on a few missions and would become a friend to Lando Calrissian in the fight against the Empire.
It is best to play this hero no different really than a sniper. Nien has an awesome Pulse Cannon which is far superior to the normal weapon, so staying far away is definitely the way to go. Not only that, but you have your turret as well that is very handy at keeping at a distance. Lastly, Nien Nunb can lay a series of Proximity Mines around the perimeter as well that simply adds the barrier that you can surround yourself with.
If you find a good spot to snipe from, lay a turret down for protection, and place mines around your area, then you have yourself a very powerful hero. Even your Electrobinoculars, or Orbital Strike, lets you kill enemies from afar.
His special abilities are Rapid Pulse Cannon, Augmented Turret, Proximity Mines, and Electrobinoculars.
Rapid Pulse Cannon
This ability gives Nien an upgraded Pulse Cannon at his disposal. It does more damage, recharges faster, and features a different crosshair.
He can place turrets that can lock onto enemies and kill them. You can upgrade the turret as you get more kills and deal more damage to your enemies.
When using this Nien Nunb on smaller maps, he has four mines to deploy at his disposal. He can place them around the map and they will detonate when foes get a little too close.
On larger game modes he can call in an upgraded Orbital Strike. He will only have one or the other all depending on the size of the game. Proximity Mines on smaller maps, and Orbital Strikes on larger ones.
Unfortunately, he does not have any vanilla hero traits. As he gets more kills his turret will get upgrades.
